KBC Heating Services is pleased to announce that we are now certified under the REFCOM F-Gas Company Certification scheme (certificate no. REF1021907). This allows us to install, service and maintain air conditioning systems for both domestic and commercial customers across Kent and the South East.

REFCOM F-Gas certificated

What is F-Gas certification?

Fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) are the refrigerants used in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Under UK law, any company that installs, services, repairs or decommissions this equipment must hold F-Gas company certification, and its engineers must be individually qualified to handle refrigerants safely.

REFCOM is one of the UK’s leading F-Gas certification bodies. Gaining certification means our processes, record keeping and engineers have been independently assessed against the standards the regulations require.

Heating and cooling from one system

Modern air conditioning does far more than keep rooms cool in summer. Most systems we install can also run in reverse to provide efficient heating in the colder months, giving year-round comfort from a single unit. That makes air conditioning a practical choice for offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, conservatories, home offices and extensions, where a traditional radiator system is difficult to extend.

What this means for our customers

Our customers can now come to one trusted contractor for heating, hot water, gas and air conditioning. Our F-Gas services include:

  • New air conditioning installations – survey, design, supply and installation of systems for heating and cooling
  • Servicing and repairs – routine servicing, fault finding and repairs to keep existing systems running efficiently
  • F-Gas leak checks – the statutory leak checks and records many systems need to stay compliant
  • Planned maintenance – servicing contracts that keep systems efficient and reliable all year round

Domestic and commercial

Whether it is a single unit for a home office or a multi-unit system for offices, schools, healthcare settings or commercial premises, our engineers will survey your requirements, recommend the right solution and handle the work from start to finish.

This certification sits alongside our existing accreditations, including Gas Safe registration (no. 277), OFTEC, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, and reflects our continued investment in the skills our customers rely on.
